For those who are a little overwhelmed by all the numbers, this wine hasn’t been stewing in the bottle for 400 years, it’s a 2020 vintage. Very strong and powerful aromas of smoked meat, reminiscent of a Cab Franc. Dark berries and dried leaves with a pleasing smooth texture on the tongue. Goes well with a Friday night Challah from Spar (the best!!) and butter. I’m salivating all over again. Surprisingly delicious for a screw too, and very worthwhile.
