On a cold and cloudy night I should be opening a bottle of red, but this one was calling. Niel Joubert Wines Reserve Chardonnay 2019. A hint of butterscotch on the nose, silky mouthfeel and green apples coming through when you take a sip. Platters give this one 88 points / 4 Stars. Would go well with a beer battered fish & chips – so ordered some from Fancy Frank’s – best fish n chips I’ve ever had from a takeaway and yes, went very well with the Chardonnay.
