Krone Night Nectar is one my favourite sparkling wines of all time. They used this in the Mimosas at the African Pride hotel last weekend where my future son-in-law and the groomsmen were getting ready for the wedding. When I found out what they were using I asked them for mine without the orange pollution.
I had the same bubbly at my own wedding almost ten years ago. It’s not heavily dry like a Brut, and it’s not sweet. The winery adds a whole list of adjectives like honeysuckle, jasmine and apple blossom on the nose and a lot of summer fruit and citrus on the palette. I just love it.
