So now the real fun begins. After I saw the WineMag.co.za top 10 Cape Bordeaux Red Blends report, I started acquiring them, and this one arrived on Monday with the help of Candice from Cork & Bottle (Sunset Beach) who got a case or two of this before it was released to the trade.
Allée Bleue Wine Estate L’Amour Tojours 2017 which ranked No 5 on the list.
It has aromas like smashing your nose deep into a ripe plum. Tastes dusty and fruity, lots of plum still in the flavours. Really unique in its personality. At R250/bottle, it’s an absolute corker of a wine at a decent price.
Pairs perfectly with a seriously strong and overripe Camenzola.
