This blend has got everything short of the vinyard equivalent of the kitchen sink in it – Cab Sav, Cinsault, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Malbec, and a dash of Cab Franc to complete the red bouquet – Basically the chicken soup of of the vinyard – no disrespect to the winemakers. However ….
You can smell the wood and dark berries quite powerfully on the nose. It’s warming on the palette with strong and full flavours. The texture is nice and full, velvety on the mouth like a spoon full of honey in your lemon tea. A really great wine indeed.
Look up this one on www.Winebase.co.za – Platters 4 stars. The 2017 is sold out, but the 2019 sells at R180 (cellar door) and gets 2 more points than the 2017.
