Lovely strong, earthy dark fruit and a hint of smokiness like a distant salami when you first breathe it in. Complex in flavour, awakens the tastebuds on the sides of the of the mouth. The dark fruit comes through in the flavours too.

Vergelegen was voted winery of the year 2021, and the really do have some top of ones. The estate is beautiful to explore too. You can lose yourself in the gardens like Alice in Wonderland.
