KWV The Mentors Cab Franc 2019 was awarded Best in Show at this year’s Decanter awards. Of course I have a bottle. Or two.
You get a burst of forest freshness on the nose together with a bit of old leather, like sniffing a well used saddle, and then on the palette you get that French oak and the texture is smooth as silk. It’s delicious. And it’s local, and it’s one of the 50 best wines of the world. Not bad for the bottom tip of Africa.
