Finished the last of the delicious Robertson Winery Constitution Road and opened this Fairview Eenzaamheid Shiraz 2018. I saw an article from Fairview on all their proud award winners in the National Wine Challenge which was impressive indeed. The Eenzaamheid Shiraz 2018 was one of three of their wines to win top 100 & Double Platinum so I had to try this one tonight.
It hits the nose hard with notes of diesel and Christmas cake, and tastes rich with notes of berries and spice. A beautiful wine. Retails for about R340/bottle. Well deserving of a spot on the top 100 SA wines.
