Fairview Primo Pinotage 2019

Which wine to open tonight…

I chose the Fairview Primo Pinotage. Seeing as how I had a Pinotage before this one I thought I’d compare the two.

I said last time that I usually find Pinotage’s a little tart on the tongue. This one is tart on the tongue. The aroma is a little light compared to yesterday’s Middelvlei. It smells warm, but the candle doesn’t burn very bright. After a half a glass, I’ll get notes of dustiness and a strong lingering taste of berries. It’s an ok wine (sorry Fairview – I did rave about the Bloemcool range but not this one) – this one isn’t going on my must-have list.
